We are a group of faculty, staff, and graduate students at School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University. We are interested in research topics including computer vision, machine learning, image and video mining, multimedia search. - Zhongyuan Lai from Huazhong University of Sci. & Tech. joined us as a visiting PhD student, welcome!
- Sept. 12-14: Yuning Jiang attended ICIP'11 and gave a talk on visual object search.
- August 13: Prof. Yuan was invited to give a talk at the Industrial Workshop of the 3rd USA-Sino Summer School in Vision, Learning and Pattern Recognition.
- Two short papers are accepted by ACM Multimedia. Congratulations to Zhou Ren and Gang Yu.
- June 27-July 2: Prof. Yuan visited Microsoft Research Redmond and delivered a talk there.
- Zhou Ren's work on hand gesture recognition was covered by KinectHacks and you can find the video on Youtube. This work was presented in the keynote speech by Dr. Zhengyou Zhang in CVPR 2011 Workshop: Human Activity Understanding from 3D Data (http://www.cvpr2011.org/workshops) on Friday, June 24.
